Press Statement

Effective September 20th, 2001, the Nachjagdgeschwader 11 will be subsidized into two groups. As the current situation stands, we will be taking up the part of I/NJG11. This will change all callsigns and all other identifying material in order to differentiate between
the two Gruppen.

Dated 27/Sept/01, the CO Kaiser writes:

Salute all,

A very friendly pilot from a MSCFS lobby has contacted me and discussed the future of the
NJG 11 and if I was planning to convert to IL-2 when it was released. The short answer is yes;
we will be there opening day, hopefully with lines to the recruiting table. Personally, I am
looking forward to many months, if not years, of domination in IL-2 lobbies. ^_^
Now, for all the gory details. We will now be referred to as I/NJG11, signifying that we are
"I Gruppe," or the first of three Gruppen into which German squadrons were organized. It goes without saying that all callsigns will have to modified according to this. The MSCFS part of the squad will be designated with II/NJG11. I should make it clear right now that, although he is an
extremely friendly person, the two Gruppen are placed to fall under different commands!
That is to say, people of  WWII Fighters will generally be I/NJG11, while his people will be
assigned to II/NJG11.

As for future plans, I'm thinking about establishing several different inter-Gruppen activities,
but I have not contacted II/NJG on such issues. Just keep an eye peeled and watch the news page for updates.
